What is the difference between SEM & CPC / Google Ads?

SEM = Search Engine Marketing covers a broad range of digital marketing activity, including both organic and paid channels | CPC = is both *an acronym for Paid Advertising and *a bidding strategy. It may be widely used on Google Ads, Bing Ads and Facebook Ads, to name a few.

What is the difference between CPC & CPM?

CPM = a bidding model used in Google Display campaigns. The advertiser pays per 1,000 Impressions served, regardless of how many Clicks are achieved. CPM is popular for brand awareness. CPC = a bidding model used widely across multiple networks. The advertiser pays for each individual click (hence Cost per Click.) | For advertisers with an Ecommerce website and a proven conversion history, Google may offer the option of CPA (Cost per Acquisition) bidding in certain instances. Here the advertiser pays only for the completed action.

Can we run Google Ads on Google Maps?

Yes. Google Maps are classified as a Search Partner and ads can be extended to Search Partners with your primary Search campaign.

How can I track my campaign progress?

The E-Web custom dashboard is the easiest to digest. The dashboard can be tailored to focus on the metrics of information which each client desires. Beyond that, there is a client’s own Google Analytics (sometimes challenging to navigate) and Google Ads account (also requiring navigation skills). Your Account Manager will assist with further interpretation of your performance beyond these options.

How much will I pay if someone clicks on my Ad?

This varies widely from one industry vertical to another. Whilst not conclusive a very broad average of say $2 per click might be indicative. Your particular industry vertical could potentially be much higher. It’s important to have enough budget to support both; a competitive bid (or cost per click) + at least 10 clicks per day at your industry’s average click price. If it’s not all used, you won’t be charged for it. But it is important to have enough to be competitive every day of the month.

Can I get a one-off Google Ads Campaign set-up?

Yes. This would be quoted as a set up fee and the account handed to the client to self manage, after the setup is complete.

How closely do you collaborate with clients?

It depends on your preferences. Some clients like to be involved with every step and receive weekly updates, whereas others prefer a hands-off approach. Generally the pricing of services is higher for clients who require high amounts of collaboration and frequent meetings.
